Laasya is a senior at Wayzata High School from Minnesota. She has been teaching programming for 2 years. She is pursuing college-level classes at the University of Minnesota, interned as an app developer at the Minnesota Twins, is a MN Aspirations in Computing Winner, and has won multiple awards for her app as part of the Technovation contest. She also maintains a personal technology blog. In her free time she enjoys biking and playing video games with her friends.
Pranavi is a senior from Math and Science Academy in Minnesota. She has been teaching programming for 2 years and is pursuing college-level classes at the University of Minnesota (UMN). She is the president of her National Honor Society branch and is an Emerging Leader of Color at the UMN's Carlson School of Management. She enjoys photography and videography. In her free time, she loves to spend time with friends and family and explore new places!
Andrew is a senior at Rockbridge High School in Columbia, MO. He has been programming for 9 years and is passionate in AI and software. He created a software that diagnoses dementia in MRI SCANs which won a local congressional app challenge and was featured in multiple news outlets. He also is currently publishing research regarding using AI to create synthetic MRI Scans for dementia diagnosis for the international conference for synthetic datasets.
Victoria is a Junior at Heritage High School. She has been programming for 6 years and is certified in both computer programming and web development. Her expertise lies within front-end and middle-tier web development and the main languages in her tech stack are Python, Java, SQL, JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Further fueling her passion for coding are her experiences at Farragut Systems, Inc. where she works as a Junior Developer Intern, collaborating with an international team. The team is researching and developing products focused on equitable and efficient real estate property valuation using statistical regression analysis. As the published author of the Bit by Bit Series, Victoria continues to support and inspire aspiring female web developers around the world.
Aashish is a sophomore at Math and Science Academy. He has been coding for about 2 years and is taking classes at the University of Minnesota. He is the design lead of the FIRST Tech Challenge team Rhythm Packed Mechanics and has won the Engineering Stratasys scholarship award. In his spare time, he enjoys origami, running, and gaming.
Sukhmani is a sophomore at Cary Grove High School in Illinois with 5-6 years of coding experience. She began her coding journey at Code Ninjas, where she learned block-based languages and JavaScript. More recently, she's been exploring Java as well. During her freshman year of high school, she took AP Computer Science Principles, where she learned the more theoretical aspects of computer science and earned a 5 on the AP Exam. She's actively involved in many clubs at her school, including Robotics, Newspaper (co-founded the Video News branch), Math Team, Choir (section leader and class manager), and Women in STEM. Beyond computer science, Sukhmani is an award-winning poet, a skilled musician, and teaches the Punjabi language to third graders at her local temple.
Prince Iheukwumere Ugochukwu is from South East Nigeria and is in his first year in high school. He loves reading, things that challenge him, and technology- especially coding. He's creative and outspoken, taking every opportunity to learn new things. He has stills in public speaking, coordinating, and graphic design in Canva. He is still budding in his coding skills, and likes to work in teams. He was the class prefect in 6th grade which gave him the opportunity to serve, lead, and work with other leaders in the school.
