Who is CODEify for?

CODEify is for any young student interested in learning about coding and technology, regardless of background, or prior experience. More can be found in our mission.

How does this work?

All CODEify classes take place online once a week for 10 weeks. Each class is a fun, hour-long learning journey with interactive elements. After classes, homework will be assigned to optimize retention. Please visit our classes page for more details on dates and times.

What happens in a class?

In every CODEify class, a passionate volunteer will teach students about the lesson topic alongside a presentation filled with visuals. Tutors are excited to help, answer questions, and provide examples. We believe in hands-on learning at CODEify which is why all our classes are interactive and designed to encourage active participation. This approach allows students to apply what they've learned in real-time, collaborate with peers, and gain a deeper understanding of the concepts through practical exercises and engaging discussions. After each class there will be a homework assignment that relates with the lesson.

Does a student need any prior coding experience to join these programs?

No prior coding experience is required. Our classes are created to teach beginners the fundamentals.

Are classes free?

Yes! As a nonprofit organization dedicated to making coding education accessible to all, we firmly believe that a crucial step towards realizing our mission involves providing this knowledge without any financial barriers.

Do you offer certificates for completing classes?

Yes, we offer personalized certificates after the end of each course to every student that successfully participated.

What's your approach to fostering a passion for coding?

We take a hands-on approach to introduce the world of coding by using real-word examples which students will be inspired to work towards, practical projects which help students use and grow their skills, and tutors who are passionate about this subject.

Do tutors receive volunteer hours for teaching?

Yes! We will verify all hours spent volunteering
